Mini MBA – PGCert in Business Administration (WBIS)

To be eligible to study at Level 7 you will need to already hold a senior leadership position and be actively looking to further develop your management and leadership skills. You may also hold a middle management position with aspirations for progression to senior leadership. 
 
The Executive Mini MBA Programme consists of three modules leading to the Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (WBIS). This programme covers appropriate key aspects for a postgraduate certificate in line with the QAA Subject Benchmark Statement: Master’s Degrees in Business and Management (3rd Ed, 2015). 

You can undertake the Mini MBA on an accredited basis and on successful completion will see you receive a PGCert in Business Administration (WBIS) validated by University of Chester and delegates who successfully complete the programme will be eligible for a University of Chester award.

Directors Development Programme – PGCert Strategic Leadership for Directors (WBIS)

To be eligible to study at Level 7 you will need to hold a director position and will be looking to further develop your leadership skills. Alternatively, you will hold a middle management position with aspirations for progression to senior leadership or company directorship. The course will bring you the robustness of an academic approach to learning, plus the reward of an academic qualification. It facilitates the development of your strategic leadership skills and your understanding of the requirements placed upon company directors. 

The Directors Development Programme consists of three modules leading to the Postgraduate Certificate Strategic Leadership for Directors (WBIS). The course covers appropriate key aspects for a postgraduate certificate in line with the QAA Subject Benchmark Statement: Master’s Degrees in Business and Management (3rd Ed, 2015).

The Executive Education and Training Programme - Post graduate Certificate in Executive Education (PGCEE)

There are two levels of accreditation for this programme: 

Certified Professional Practitioner 

To become a Certified trainer, participants will need to: 

  • Deliver a 15 minute micro-teach session to fellow participants on the programme, applying core teaching theory from the course:
    • Set an Aim and Objectives.
    • Deliver an engaging session relating to own area of expertise
    • Confirm Aim and Objectives have been met 

  • Write a reflective statement, identifying and discussing how they will apply the key concepts, techniques, and theories into their professional practice. The reflective statement needs to demonstrate a clear understanding of concepts taught and application of learning. 

Successful participants will be awarded a badge of Professional Competence and Completion Certificate.

Qualified Professional Practitioner (PGCEE)

You will be required to undertake 3 work-based assignments of notionally 4000-5000 words (weighting 100% coursework). These 3 assignments will be work-based (applied to the delegates individual workplace practice) and submitted as part of a critically reflective portfolio. Illustrative examples include an essay, report, oral assessment, portfolio – or a combination – as individually negotiated between student and tutor.

Advanced Management Programme – PGCert in Management and Leadership

To be eligible to study at Level 7 you will need to already hold a senior leadership position and be actively looking to further develop your management and leadership skills. You may also hold a middle management position with aspirations for progression to senior leadership. 

The Advanced Management Programme consists of two modules leading to the Postgraduate Certificate in Management and Leadership. This programme covers appropriate key aspects for a postgraduate certificate in line with the QAA Subject Benchmark Statement: Master’s Degrees in Business and Management (3rd Ed, 2015).

Strategic Leadership Programme – PGCert in Strategy and Leadership

To be eligible to study at Level 7 you will need to already hold a senior leadership position and be actively looking to further develop your management and leadership skills. You may also hold a middle management position with aspirations for progression to senior leadership. 

The Strategic Leadership Programme consists of two modules leading to the Postgraduate Certificate in Strategy and Leadership. This programme covers appropriate key aspects for a postgraduate certificate in line with the QAA Subject Benchmark Statement: Master’s Degrees in Business and Management (3rd Ed, 2015).

CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management

This qualification is designed for managers who have the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. The qualification requires managers to build on their strategic management and leadership skills, and to focus on the requirements of implementing the organisation’s strategy. You will be required to take the theory, thought leadership and research discussed on the programme, and implement it in your professional life by focusing on your own leadership development, and positively challenging organisational strategy.

CMI Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management

This qualification has been developed for practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. The primary role of a practising or aspiring manager and leader is to lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver aims and objectives in line with organisational strategy. To undergo this professional qualification, you will be required to apply the learning from the Future Leaders’ programme to your own practice as a leader and developer of people. You will plan for your own development and maintain a professional development record that will focus your progression towards senior and strategic future roles.

CMI Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

This Management Coaching and Mentoring (Level 5) Award is designed to develop management coaching and mentoring skills. It will help you to identify the links between coaching, mentoring and the achievement of business goals. The Management Coaching and Mentoring (Level 5) course is designed for managers who wish to apply coaching skills to better support or enhance the performance of their teams, and for individuals who wish to act as a professional management or executive coach.

CMI Level 7 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

The Level 7 qualification in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring is designed for managers and leaders who have the authority and responsibility for developing and implementing a coaching and mentoring strategy across the organisation. This qualification requires managers and leaders to build on their strategic management and leadership skills and to focus on the requirements of embedding the organisation’s strategy. Additionally, this qualification will provide Organisational Development, or Learning and Development consultants, with the skill and current best practice approach to design, implement and evaluate coaching, mentoring, and learning interventions.

CPD Points and Accreditation

Maintaining and developing your professional knowledge is an essential part of today’s challenging and competitive workplace. 

It is essential for professionals to engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure their Academic and professional qualifications do not become out-dated regardless of their professional background. Often, professionals who are members of a professional body or work within a regulated sector are required to participate in and record their CPD on an annual basis. 

CPD is a process by which you manage, record, and track your own professional development on an ongoing basis. It is a way of planning your development that links learning directly to your role and industry. 

Importantly, learning and development is unique to you. CPD Accredited Programmes will specify the number of points available on the course overview and these points can be used towards your own CPD.
