Guide to writing a great business plan

Key learnings

  • A business plan paints a picture of your business and your aims for the next three to five years.
  • You should fill in each section of the business plan template as fully as possible and ensure you always tell the truth.
  • By the time someone has read your business plan, there should be no questions they need to ask, as everything should be contained within it.
  • It’s important to provide evidence for anything you’ve said in your business plan such as the cost of equipment, conversations you’ve had with funders and insurances you need to take out.
