After graduating with a degree in criminology, Dave entered the banking world with NatWest as the youngest Business Bank Manager in the NatWest RBS group.  At this time Dave worked with a portfolio of general businesses across the North Yorkshire and Durham area.  

Dave moved to Barclays to work as a specialist sector manager with a small portfolio of clients including large landowners and specialist importers. Typically looking at loan finance up to £1.5m and overdrafts up to £600k, the key to success in this role was building strong relationships and finding novel financial solutions where the typical banking products weren't ideally suited. During this time Dave managed a very high lending success rate and referral rate.   

Eventually Dave left the Banking world and launched his own businesses.  Dave learned a lot from being a business owner, allowing him to fully understand the challenges and needs of other businesses.

Dave joined UMi as a consultant in 2018 and has since helped a multitude of clients with a wide range of projects including;

-  Helping finance the world’s largest Cadmium zinc telluride manufacturing facility
-  A Diamond manufacturer
-  And many other diverse businesses including a number of PLC's.

Dave has worked with all types and sized of business from prestart upto businesses with a turnover in excess of £70m.

Dave’s biggest strength is his communication skills which he has learned the importance of since early in his career. He also has a passion for process improvement.
